Software for Google imagery workflow (DigitalGlobe visualization to GeoTIFF file).
Step 1. Generate set of landmarks in KML format for Google Earth application with PlaceMaker 2 application (by zed), according to guide.
Step 2. Open landmarks in Google Earth 5.2 (or Google Earth 6), select landmark layer and "play trip" to download all desired area to application cache.
Step 3. Extract information from Google Earth cache with CacheMaster 2, saving in SAS format.
Step 4. Use SAS.Планета 110216 application to visualize area in base of cache content and to merge image fragments (tiles) for selected area into entire image, save image in BMP format, and georefferencing information in any text format. Use information from SAS GIS site.
Step 5. Use gdal_translate application from FWTools 2.46 to assign georeferencing and convert image to GeoTIFF format.

While taking photos, digital camera clock should be verified with GPS time, don'to forget tunrn on GPS and to record track.
Step 1. Download photos from camara with EOS Utility (in JPEG)
Step 2. Download GPS track with DNR Garmin (save in GPX format, also it is useful to save it in vector SHP format to have track visualization)
Step 3. Use GPSCorrelate to set individual EXIF geographical metadata in JPEG pictures (whole directory) in base of GPS track (check that Time Zone setting is correct)
Step 4 (optional). Extract geographical metadata just stored in JPEG pictures to list in text file, using ExifTool. In command line it looks like: exiftool.exe -T -r -filename -GPSLatitudeRef -GPSLatitude -GPSLongitudeRef -GPSLongitude -GPSAltitude -DateTimeOriginal e:\Photoes_temp\ > coord_list.txt
Step 5 (optional). Import text file as tab separated table to Excel, use formulas similar to next ones: [=LEFT(C2,FIND(" deg ",C2,1)-1)], [=MID(C2,FIND(" deg ",C2,1)+5,(FIND("' ",C2,1)-FIND(" deg ",C2,1)-5))], [=MID(C2,FIND("' ",C2,1)+1,(FIND(" N",C2,1)-FIND("' ",C2,1)-2))], [=I2+J2/60+K2/3600] to transform strings with coordinates to degrees with fractions.

Россия - непревзойденный пример того насколько различными могут быть представления просвещенной элиты и остального населения (масс). Это очевидно сейчас, но, вероятно, было не так очевидно в конце 80-х - начале 90-х. Тогда в воздухе витал фантастический идеализм, казалось что всё возможно. Казалось ещё что мы все вместе и за одно, ну, или, почти все. Подобная иллюзия кажется следствием "советского", следствием идеологии "свободы, равентсва, братства". Отсюда и либерализация, имевшая место в момент конца советской империи. Массы тогда были заражены идеологией свободы, которая, в сущности, была преобразованной советской идеологией. Но потом идеология была забыта. Оказалось что для людей забота о насущном и меркантильном важнее идеалов. Новая экономика способствовала забвению идеалов, так как каждый вынужден был выживать сам. Пока просвещённая элита грезила обществом свободы, для масс на первом месте были экономический кризис и несправедливость повсеместного грабежа. Отмена либерального развития была, к сожалению, неизбежной таких экономических условиях, несмотря на вялое противодействие интеллектуалов. Некоторое время либерализация продолжалась за счёт инерции истории. Но вскоре нашлись лидеры разобравшиеся в том что массы жаждут "хлеба и зрелищ", а не свободы. Либерализм был нужен элите, но оказался ни к чему массам. А уж, тем более, свобода масс не нужна власти. Узурпация власти и ущемление прав подаются как благоприятные для масс явления, часть "стабилизациии" и "порядка" в интересах большинства. В то же время ясно, что интересы власти узко корпоративные. Либеральное развитие осталось в прошлом, шанс упущен. Просвещённая элита, тем временем, сильно поредела.

Идея клуба чтения
Размышляю, не организовать ли клуб чтения русской литературы? Это могло бы стать своего рода реаламой моих уроков русского языка как иностранного в Гвадалахаре, продолжающихся в рамках новой Академии русского языка. Мои частные уроки переменовались с недавних пор в академию, хотя на самом деле изменений пока никаких, только смена названия. Конкуренция в преподавании русского в Гвадалахаре обострилась, в настоящее время существуют несколько официальных курсов и ещё больше частных преподавателей. По этой причине я решил зарегистрировать домен www.rusoguadalajara.com и разместить там сайт новой Академии. Может быть, это позволит получить преимущество в конкуренции с другими людьми. А может быть, даже удастся сотрудничать с конкурентами.
Нужно отметить, что уроки русского никогда нельзя было назвать моей основной деятельностью, за семь лет практики, у меня было несколько десятков учеников, но никогда больше пяти одновременно. То есть, прожить на это никогда было нельзя. И иллюзий что будет когда-то можно у меня нет. Однако, наличие учеников позволяет поддерживать контекст, переключаться между видами деятельности и приносит некоторые пополнения в бюджет. И я намерен продолжать заниматься этим пока хватает времени.
Я считаю что у преподавания русского в Гвадалахаре есть потенциал. Затухает явление неприятия всего русского, весьма характерное в Мексике во время постсоветской эпохи. У меня есть ощущение некоторого возобновления интереса. Кроме того, в свете упрощения визового режима для русских может появиться заинтересованность в изучении языка для туристического бизнеса.

Lawrence Lessing on “war on drugs” and American mediatic hypocrisy
Reading Free Culture by Lawrence Lessing (www.free-culture.cc/freecontent/) published in 2004. I like this book much. Book is distributed wit Creative Commons license, so it is possible to cite fragments from it.
I'm really share many of this book ideas, particullary one I want to cite here. This is very important idea, specially in current critical for Mexico moment, when "war on drugs" here have left about 28000 victims, and there is no end of this.

MIA Macrobus Fase II - "consulta ambiental"
Asistí hoy en una reunión que fue anunciada por el SITEUR Jalisco como Consulta Ambiental sobre tema de la Manifestación del Impacto Ambiental de la Fase II del Macrobus en la Zona Metropolitana de Guadalajara (ZMG). Proposito de mi presencia en la reunion fue apoyar la gente de la consultora AU en la sección de preguntas, en cuanto trataba de las temas técnicas, en los cuales estuvo participando. En el estudio para la MIA de las fases I, II y III del proyecto Macrobus que, que fue terminada hace tiempo, mi contribución consistía en dos aspectos: a) calculo de dispersión atmosférica de las sustancias contaminantes emitidas por los fuentes moviles en la escala de la ciudad (utilizando modelo AUSTAL 2000); b) calculo de biomasa de los árboles en la zona de afectación immediata del proyecto, con la estimación de su potencial para la captura del CO2.
Despues de esta reunion tengo clara idea que esta sistema si se va a implementar en la Ciudad de Guadalajara en el futuro cercano. A proposito, no había una critica sustancial de las partes del estudio que fueron bajo mi cargo por los presentes en la reunión. Tengo varios comentarios.
1. Para mi no esta muy clara la decisión de SEMADES Jalisco de no efectuar el procedimiento de consulta pública del MIA para la Fase II del Macrobus. Como sabemos, actualmente el MIA ya esta dictaminado y vigente, a pesar de que no había consulta pública del mismo. Dicen que no es un requisito establecido por las normas vigentes.
2. Comprendo mejor por que el Gobierno opto por implementación del transporte público superficial (BRT) con motores de combustión interna, en lugar de invertir en la infraestructura del metro. Cuestión es el dinero: no hay suficientes re3cursos para construcción de metro. En particular, la linea 2 del metro de Guadalajara (TrenLigero, aunque linea es completamente subterránea), que funciona desde año 1994, tiene largo de 8 kilómetros y fue resultado de inversión grande de 40 millones USD por kilómetro de la infraestructura. La linea todavía no recupero la inversión, aunque pasaron 16 años. Ademas, número de usuarios de esta línea se estima en 80 mil personas diariamente, con la capacidad de transportar hasta 300 mil personas diariamente, implementada en la infraestructura. En frente de esta realidad, la construcción de otra linea del metro no parece factible desde visión financiera. Posiblemente Macrobús, incorporado a sistema del transporte urbano multimodal, podría mejorar rendimiento del metro en ZMG y provocar incremento de rentabilidad de la infraestructura existente.

La tabla fue armada en base de la selección de los especímenes con estrobilos femeninos de los herbarios IBUG y GUADA. Los conos están en misma escala, los de esquina izquierda inferior están inmaduros.

Mi UPS casi acabo su pila, no aguatara mucho... Sin UPS no hay modem, no hay ruteador, ni WiFi, nada: uno queda completamente desconectado...

ReBiOMex 1.4.1
Red de Biodiversidad del Occidente de México [ReBiOMex] versión 1.4.1 BETA — http://rebiomex.org. Por fin instalado en un servidor de acceso público.
Proyecto que estoy llevando a cabo durante últimos 3-4 años. Todavía esta muy lejos de ser concluido, falta mucho mas que la mitad de la implementación. Pero todas las funciones básicas (interfaces de consulta y captura de datos sobre los especímenes de colecciones) ya están disponibles.
P. S. Tal vez, proyecto nació muerto, ya que no veo intenciones de los investigadores de las instituciones "participantes" de acercarse con esto, tal vez, nadie va a utilizar esta sistema. Menos en su forma actual, cuando falta tanto y no hay recursos para hacerlo.

Писательское ремесло больше не профессия а дорогое хобби, потребность пишущего, а не читающего. Успешные в коммерческом отношении книги - продукт маркетинга. Причины этого ясны и очевидны, они связаны с развитием цивилизации. Об этом абсолютно верно написано неким Semiurg (http://semiurg.ru/2010/04/18/tshheta-remesla/ http://habrahabr.ru/blogs/books/91313/#comments).
Эта трансформация в хобби касается не только художественной литературы. Это касается литературы вообще, всех жанров письма. Более того, это касается многих разновидностей интеллектуальной и творческой деятельности людей. В частности, речь идёт о разнообразных областях "классической" науки и продуктах которые производятся в этих областях.
К примеру энтомология (с ней всё ясно давно, со времён Набокова). Или классическая ботаника. Но и изучение биоразнообразия вообще. Казалось бы, столь важная для взаимодействия человечества с окружающим миром область знаний. Но она не может иметь отношение к профессиональной оплачиваемой деятельности в мире с экономикой рынка, и становится во многих случаях хобби. Если где-то за это и платят, то это в университетах, или это рудименты государственного регулирования, или вовсе элементы социализма. Ведь успешный маркетинг в данном случае невозможен, за исключением, наверное, крупных млекопитающих (спасение панд и тигров).
Мир рынка очень далёк от идеального государства. Изменений не просматривается. А значит, следует оставаться тщеславным графоманом. Читать дальше......

ReBiOMex es un proyecto que estamos desarrollando últimos 4 años. Hoy presentaba la ponencia ReBiOMex: Metodos de consulta, captura y verificación de informacion, como parte del XXIX ciclo de seminarios de botánica sistematica en CUCBA, UdeG. La ponencia considero exitosa. A propósito, el servidor con base de datos ver. 1.4 esta funcionando otra vez, pero por el momento queda disponible solo en el mismo Centro Universitario.
